Austin White from AZDirt gives his predictions for the 2009 year and much more…

What’s next for 2009? First off I hope everyone had a great Christmas along with an even better New Year. It’s time to move forward with everything, keep our heads held high and keep the economy stimulated. 2009 brings so much more for the young and new to our sport and AZDirt is going to keep you covered on everything we can. We are excited to see what type of racing, track layouts, bikes, and riders the 2009 season will bring us.

Let’s start 2009 with the 20th Annual CMC Copperstate.   Arizona’s Most Prestigious Motocross Championship. Being the 20th year of the CMC Copperstate, Arizona Cycle Park wanted to step their game up….starting with an all NEW track layout. Along with having the biggest awards party in Arizona, ACP/CMC  will be throwing some 20th Annual Awards parties on Saturday Nights at Round 1, Round 3, and Round 5.  They should be a real treat with a bunch of prizes from AZDirt.

 

The Pro Class should offer up some awesome racing at the CMC Copperstate like it always has, with the pros having 150% payback and Factory Contingencies.  There should be some pretty happy pros. 

The word on the street is Arizona Cycle Park will be offering up an all new track layout for the very first round of the Copperstate. We do not have any pictures as of yet, but plan getting you a few before the weekend.  Until then, you can keep dreaming about this photo Josh Metzger popped off at the last round of the CMC Cactus State.

Round 1 – Jan 4th – Jan 3rd 20th annual party night

Round 2 – Feb 1st

Round 3 – Mar 1st – Feb 28th 20th annual party night

Round 4 – Mar 29th

Round 5 – May 2nd – May 1st 20th annual party night

Round 6 – Jun 6th

Also, coming in 2009 is the Loretta Lynn qualifier in March. I believe the dates are the 21st & 22nd. Some of the best will be back in town for this race; another chance for our Arizona guys to make it to back east for the largest Amateur Race.

With the new year comes new recruits for AZDirt, the newest to join would be Josh Metzger heading up the Photo department for us. We will also be having a new blog writer joining us too. What else? A new video guy or girl? Another Writer? Track cam? Live Feed? I dont know…you decide.  We are always open to ideas and new people.
