Coppersate Classic Rd 5 – Pro Photo Report

Even before the pros lined up Saturday night, Arizona Cycle Park was raising money the night before to help our fast guys get to Hangtown for round one of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship. Part of Friday night’s practice fee was set aside for the fund. Check out the  local news  that showed up to see what this motocross thing was all about. And the giving kept on going come race time Saturday night where $5 of every race entry and $2 of every front gate fee will be donated to the fund.  All that and an auction of some moto memorabilia put a lot of cabbage up for grabs.   Let’s see who will be going to Hangtown a bit heavier in the wallet.

The fast six launch out of the gate  in moto 1 to see who will grab the holeshot

Dilon Huddleston was impressive with a 1-1.  Good starts put him out front to make the wins look easy. He brought home $675 for his efforts.

Rhett Urseth took the second spot with a 3-2 finish on the night and put $475 into his pocket. He also got some face time in the news spot linked above.

David King tied with Urseth but his 2-3 relegated him to the third step on the podium.  He should not feel too bad though. He still walked away with $475

Buddi Bruner, who also put in some camera work for the news, finished 4-4 and pocketed $375 for his efforts.

Troy Allen secured fifth overall with a 5-5.  He was not hard to miss under the lights in his bright Troy Lee gear and KTM!

Zac Petruska struggled and went 6-6. According to his ace mechanic (Dad) they “kept bending things”.

It was this year’s first night race and the cool nocturnal air was welcomed with summer temps making their way into the desert.  Be sure to come out June 8th for round 6 and race under the ACP lights!
