I went to the first Buddy Wentworth Ride Day and it was a somber experience to see the Arizona motocross community come together to mourn one of our own. I missed the last couple BW134 events so to attend again a few years later was different. Now the Arizona motocross community was coming together to celebrate Buddy and the scholarship in his honor. Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series: Arizona – Rd 8 Sept 9 2017
Night two was round eight of the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Race for Arizona. The track was definitely faster and after the previous day of racing, the drivers certainly had their cars dialed in.

The forecast for the week leading up to round 7 of the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series: Arizona called for temperatures 100°+. But with a little rain the night before, cloud cover and a breeze the day of, it was only the racing that was hot!

Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Series: Arizona – Rd 5 June 2 2017
I had the opportunity to go to round 5 of Lucas Oil’s Regional Off Road Series held at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park. These ain’t your grandpa’s UTV’s and buggies! These are full on race machines for the young to hone their race craft and for the ones that have added a cage to their age to continue to get their racing fix.
The racing is close and many battles were decided by mere hundredths of a second! There are not many better ways to spend a night at a spectator friendly event with fast and action packed racing. The series is taking the summer off and I can’t wait for it to pick up again in September. AMA Copperstate Classic – Rd3 June 3 2017
The sun set both literally and figuratively on the final round of the 2017 AMA Copperstate classic. Double points and a night race gave riders a challenge on the track and a chance to make up points or extend their lead. Congrats to all the class champs!
